The Meigs County Museum

​

• Collects, protects and exhibits the material culture of Meigs County.
   

• Educates the public about the history of Meigs County through exhibits, special programs, tours and events.
   

• Works with county schools to provide hands-on programming that meets ODE state curriculum standards.
   

• Houses the Society's library as well as early probate court records for genealogical research purposes.
   

• Publishes histories, genealogical research and other books of local and regional historical interest.
   

• Conducts family history workshops and provides genealogical research assistance.
   

• Provides assistance with historical projects and research.
   

• Works closely with The University of Rio Grande, Ohio University, Ohio History Connections, the Ohio Historic Preservation Office and other organizations on historical projects.
